Installation and Suspension Systems

KE Fibertec's TBV duct systems can be supplied with different suspension systems which can be fitted to any type of ceiling. What all the suspension systems have in common is that they are supplied cut to the same length as the textile duct. They are also packaged with the necessary fixing components and a specific label indicating where they are meant to be installed. As a rough guide, two men with good access should be able to install up to 30 metres / day, making installation costs of our systems substantially less than metal alternatives.

Flexibility and tailored products are the hallmark of our TBV solutions. This allows you to freely choose the size that best suits your design rather than having to be tied to a particular number of standard solutions. In planning your system you will be able to select almost any layout, colour, offsets, elbows, sockets and materials. We will help you to assess whether your system should be based around a passive ( low impulse ), semi-active ( hybrid ) or active ( high impulse ) model.

D-Alu® Suspension

KE Fibretech recommends the D-Alu rail in premises where the finish and appearance have high priority, as well as for D-shaped ducts with bends and sharp elbows. The specially developed closing system is ideal for use in both horizontal and vertical systems. The D-Alu rail is suitable where access is difficult.

The D-Alu® rails are supplied in cut lengths matching the textile duct, packed with the necessary components and marked individually with exact indication of placement.

KE Fibertec suggests the D-Alu® rail for rooms with high demands on finish and appearance and for KE-Interior® Systems with sharp angle bends. The specially developed locking profile system is well suited for both horizontal and vertical ducts. May be applied in rooms with difficult access.

D-Lite Alu® Suspension

KE Fibretec recommends the D-Lite Alu® rail for D-shaped systems with dimensions up to D800 mm. The rail is produced very simply and facilitiates fitting on level false ceilings. This rail is used to provide a competitive edge as an alternative to D-shaped systems in premises where the finish and appearance have high priority. This type of rail is also suitable where access is difficult.

The D-Lite Alu® rail is designed to ensure simple and easy mounting on flat, suspended ceilings. May be supplied as an affordable alternative to D-Alu® railsin rooms with high demands on finish.

The anodized aluminium rail is supplied in cut lengths to match the textile duct and is supplied with the necessary components and marked individually with exact indication of placement.

Some typical installations using the D-Alu® Suspension System

D-Safetrack® Suspension

The D-Safetrack® rail is recommended for D-shaped systems with dimensions over D800 mm, for industrial purposes and in premisies where the ceiling's properties are unknown. The D-Safetrack rail is also recommended when free-hanging D-shaped systems are requested. The rail has a high level of rigidity, thereby keeping sagging to a minimum.

The D-Safetrack® suspension rail is used if specially manufactured curved D-shaped systems are requested. This system is strongly recommended for the KE-Interior System ® which exceed D800 mm. For KE-Interior® Systems which are mounted below the ceiling there are a variety of alternative systems to lower the ducts. Please see below for details. These suspension systems are used when the duct is designed to be placed away from the ceiling.

Alternative suspension systems for D-Safetrack®

Single Wire Suspension

The wire suspension system is the most simple of the various suspension systems offered by KE Fibertec. Nowadays the wire solution is used almost exclusively for round ducts in particularly humid environments. Single wire suspension is used most often with duct dimensions under Ø630 mm

We suggest that a single wire is used for diameters up to Ø 630 mm. For larger ducts double wire suspension is recommended. Wire is supplied 3 metres longer than the duct. For ducts exceeding 17m two turnbuckles per wire are supplied

Double Wire Suspension

The wire suspension system is the most simple of the various suspension systems offered by KE Fibertec. Nowadays the wire solution is used almost exclusively for round ducts in particularly humid environments. The wire solution is supplied in both a single suspension and double suspension format. Double wire suspension is used most often with duct dimensions over Ø630 mm.

Wire is supplied 3 metres longer than the duct. For ducts exceeding 17 metres long, two turnbuckles per wire are included. Wire Strap Ups to the ceiling are supplied in 1 metre lengths.

The Safetrack solution is the most elegant solution for round ducts. The safetrack rail is made from anodised aluminium, which is naturally approved for the food sector. KE Fibertec recommends a single - suspension Safetrack rail for ducts with diameters up to Ø 630mm

Double Safetrack Suspension

The Safetrack solution is the most elegant solution for round ducts. The Safetrack rail is made from anodised aluminium, which is naturally approved for the food sector. Double - Suspension Safetrack rails are recommended for ducts over Ø 630mm. The Safetrack rail can alternatively be supplied as a triple suspension system - ie at 9 o'clock, 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions.

The Safetrack is supplied in cut lengths to match the textile duct and is packed with the necessary components and marked individually with exact indication of placement. We recommend this system for ducts exceeding Ø 630mm and for ducts exceeding Ø 900mm the SafeStrap - Up is recommended. Threadbars for the ceiling are as standard
supplied in 1metre lengths. Different lengths are available on request. Screws for ceiling attachment are not included.
